Lighting a fire

“Lighting a fire, not filling a pail”.  This observation, attributed to Irish poet W.B. Yeats argues that teaching and learning should be empowering activities.

At the FAD Strategic Planning Meeting at Karridene, we were asked to reflect on our practice in the classroom (successful or otherwise) and formulate a clear articulation of our approach. Provide a 200 to 300 word response to the following question (by Friday 24 February):

Justify the learning experiences we create for our students, and demonstrate that these practices recognise learner needs, and deliver authentic and deep learning outcomes.

Please post your contribution as a comment (reply).
